Fluor and Bilfinger reached an agreement on the sale of Stork businesses.

On September 6, Fluor and Bilfinger reached an agreement for the proposed sale of the Stork businesses in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the US (Ithaca, NY). Although the transaction is still subject to consultation with and advice from the joint employee participation body (consisting of members of Stork's Central Works Council and the Works Council of Fluor B.V.), unions and regulators and other customary conditions, we believe that this represents a significant and positive step forward for Stork Europe, our employees, our customers and partners.

The proposed merger of these two companies leads to a strong market position in the industrial services sector. The services provided by both companies are highly complementary.
