Privacy statement
The object of this privacy statement is to explain how we, Stork Technical Services Holding B.V. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter jointly referred to as “Stork”), use and protect personal data collected through our websites. This privacy statement pertains to all website visitors, including online job applicants and visitors who request information or services through our websites.

The personal data we process
We may process the IP address of the device you use to visit our website. In addition, if you apply for a job through one of our websites such as jobs.stork.com, we may process the following personal data:
- name,
- address details,
- phone number,
- e-mail address,
- date and place of birth,
- nationality,
- gender,
- education, certifications and qualifications,
- CVs and motivation letters,
- link to LinkedIn profile, and
- salary indication.
If you request information or order goods or services through our websites, we may process the following personal data:
- name,
- company name,
- phone number,
- e-mail address,
- country, and
- your request, including any documents you may upload and that may contain other personal data.
We do not intend to collect special categories of personal data or other sensitive personal data of website visitors. Nor do we intend to collect personal data of website visitors who are under the age of 16, except where Stork has the consent of parents or guardians to do so.If you believe we have collected personal data of a visitor under the age of 16 without valid consent, or if you believe we have collected special categories of personal data or other sensitive personal data through one of our websites, please contact us via compliance@stork.com, and we will delete that personal data.
The purposes for which we process personal data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- to log and analyse your use of our website (but we anonymize usage statistics);
- to respond to your requests for information posted on our website;
- to provide the goods and services you order or rent through our website;
- to contact you for vacancies at Stork matching your profile;
- to process your online job application;
- to process and answer any complaints;
- to send (electronic) newsletters, and
- to inform you of any changes to our services and products.
The period we retain personal data
We retain your personal data no longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. We observe the retention periods below for the following categories of personal data:
- all personal data pertaining to your online job applications are retained for four weeks; all of the aforementioned may be retained for a period of one year with the consent of the applicant;
- other personal data actively provided by you: 24 months.
Sharing personal data
Internally: Stork will only share personal data with Stork employees who need it to do their work.
Externally: Stork will only provide personal data to third parties, and then only if necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. If companies process personal data on our behalf, we enter into a data processing agreement with them to ensure that the same level of security and confidentiality is maintained. Stork will continue to be responsible for processing operations in this situation.
Stork may provide personal data to external parties established outside the European Economic Area. Stork ensures an adequate level of protection is provided in those countries. Within Stork, a privacy policy is in place to ensure that the same protection is provided for personal data at Stork, both within Europe and elsewhere.
Our use of cookies and similar technologies
Stork only uses technical cookies, functional cookies and analytical cookies. No tracking cookies are used. A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit our website for the first time. The cookies that we use are vital for the technical functioning of the website and for your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember your preferred settings, for example. They also enable us to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies, which means that cookies will not be saved any more, by changing your settings on your internet browser (for example, you can prevent your personal data from being used by Google Analytics by activating an opt-out plugin via https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). You can delete all information saved previously via your browser settings too.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your personal data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you might previously have given for data processing and to object to the processing of your personal data by Stork. Your right to data portability means that you can request us to send you, or an organisation of your choice, a computer file containing all of the personal data we have that pertain to you. Please send all personal data access, correction, deletion and data-transfer requests and requests to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to compliance@stork.com.To ensure that you are the originator of a request to access your personal data, always include adequate proof of your identity with your request. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, being within four weeks at the very latest.
How we secure your personal data
Stork takes the protection of your personal data seriously and puts appropriate measures in place to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised changes. For example, we ensure that personal data is only accessible to individuals who need access to them, that access to data is protected and that our safety measures are evaluated on a regular basis. If you feel that your data has not been secured properly or if there are signs of misuse, please contact Stork immediately via compliance@stork.com.
Complaints
If you would like to submit a complaint to Stork, please contact our Compliance and Privacy Officer via compliance@stork.com. If you are unable to resolve your complaint with our Compliance and Privacy Officer, you also have the right to submit a complaint to the national supervisory authority (such as Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands, the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK or the data protection authority in your EU member state). Changes to this privacy statement
Stork may update this privacy statement from time to time. All updates will be published on our website. Stork will not use your data for other purposes without your consent.
You are advised to check this privacy statement on a regular basis, to ensure that you are aware of any updates issued.

This (updated) privacy statement entered into force on 1 June 2020.
